Messias has agreed to a one-year contract with Genoa, the team announced.
Analysis: Messias will stay put on a short-term deal for the second summer in a row and is set for his fourth campaign at the club. He has mostly operated as a super-sub in the last two seasons, often missing time because of recurring muscular problems. He tallied three goals, one assist, 19 goals (seven on target) and 16 crosses (three accurate) in 20 appearances (five starts) in 2025/2026.
