Unused sub in Tunisia meeting
Timber (head) was available but didn't feature in Thursday's 3-1 victory over Tunisia.
Analysis: Timber was back on the game-day squad list after sitting out one tilt because of a concussion, but he didn't get any minutes. He operated off the bench in the first game, totaling one key pass, one cross (one accurate) and two tackles (zero won) in 20 minutes before getting hurt. He'll likely continue to serve as a sub in multiple roles.
Training away from group
Timber (concussion) was spotted training away from the group during Sunday's session, according to ESPN Netherlands.
Analysis: Timber didn't play in the 5-1 win over Sweden on Saturday, and he'll race against the clock to be fit for the group-stage finale against Tunisia on Thursday, June 25. The midfielder played 20 minutes off the bench in the opener against Japan, but with Frenkie de Jong, Tijjani Reijnders and Ryan Gravenberch as the starters in midfield, don't expect Timber to make a strong push for regular playing time even when he's fit and available.
